If Anil Kapoor is getting ready to shoot for his next high-voltage action sequence in Tezz, then Sonam Kapoor is not behind with a few action films in her kitty. She has signed Players, which is being directed by Abbas Mastan that has some high-voltage action scenes choreographed by Allan Amin. It is not only the guys Abhishek Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bobby Deal who will be doing the stunts.

Leading ladies Bipasha Basu and Sonam Kapoor will have equal opportunities. Yesterday, Sonam shot a song for this movie and in the coming weeks she is supposed to shoot an action sequence on cars and speeding boats. This is for the first time that the Kapoor lass is doing a film, so she going through a rigorous training for the look of this movie. She is getting training in pilates from Yasmin Karachiwala since the past few months. The trainer accompanied her to Goa as well for everyday one hour training session. An insider says, “Sonam knows that her co-star Bipasha is known for her athletic body and she does not want to fall behind while showing off hers or performing stunts.”

When asked Sonam Kapoor about this she admits, “I am in Goa shooting for Players. I have been training in pilates for some time and doing it because I love it.”

The director says, “Players is an action thriller and the girls Bipasha and Sonam will be doing lots of stunning car chases and other action sequences.”

The ceremony will take place in Karjat on January 8. All the informal invites have already been sent out. To coincide with the Diwali festivities on the weekend, informal invitations were extended for Imran’s wedding with Avantika Malik. The actor will tie the knot on January 8 with his fiancée at their Karjat farmhouse.

A close source to the actor revealed, “Though it is exactly two months away, the preparations are in full swing. Those on the guest list were sent SMSes or told on the phone to keep themselves free on January 8 from 5 pm to 5 am. The message stated that a formal invite of the wedding card would follow later.”

The source added, “As it was Diwali, it was considered an auspicious occasion to start with the invitations.” The Malik’s are telling everyone to keep themselves free on the wedding day. They are going to have dusk till dawn bash for their wedding.

The nephew of Aamir Khan had his engagement party with a brunch, followed by the ceremony and dinner in the evening. For this occasion he gifted Avantika a Volkswagen Beetle. The engagement invite was in the shape of a metal box, which had a bottle full of sand. The invite was rolled inside the bottle.

Imraan has always been very open about his relationship with Avantika. They were amongst the few people who were invited for the opening of Arjun Rampal’s nightclub in Delhi and a toast was raised for them.

Lara Dutta will be essaying the role of Shahrukh Khan’s moll in Don 2, the role that Eesha Koppikhar played in the original. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra will essay the role of leading lady in the movie.

Icy winds started blowing the minute Priyanka landed on the Berlin airport. An insider revealed, “Lara was already there a week before PC. The two barely exchanged hellos with frosty smiles before they directed their warmth to SRK and the director Farhan Akhtar.”

These two beauties have had a long history. The two were crowned as Miss Universe and Miss World in the same year. They both started their career with the same movie Andaaz. Lara portrayed a role of grieving widow and had the author backed role, but it was Priyanka who walked away to stardom and the plum assignments with Khiladi No.1, Akshay Kumar. Since then, Lara has steered clear of working with PC, sources say that she was hesitant to sign Don 2 as well.

When Farhan assured her that he would flesh out her role, only then she agreed to sign the film. Also, SRK has a soft spot for Mahesh Bhupatis latest girlfriend, ever since she acted in his home production Billu, a part that every actress had refused.

Even without their past differences, things between them will never be easy. In Bollywood, whenever any two actresses shoot together, there is stress on the sets. The list of worries is endless; it starts from who has the better room, better fee, better clothes and it ends at better scenes. Piggy Chops was already wary, exhausted, and edgy when she reached Berlin a week after her former friend and now a rival had got comfortable with the unit. Over here Lara clearly has a head start.

These two divas have come face to face after six years and are not ready to act like the long lost friends. The biggest fact that they have uneven roles is enough reason for them to be suspicious about each other. One is promised to be the leading lady and the other has been promised an important role. A close source revealed, “To start with, their roles are unequal. If you see Eesha Koppikhar’s role in Don you will know what Lara is supposed to play. Priyanka has had a stressful dubbing and shoot, which she had to complete in two days. In addition, there was a section in the industry who wanted to demolish her performance in Anjaana Anjaani. She is left in a depressed state of mind. The last thing she would want in Berlin is stressful ambience.”

The famous Indian choreographer Longinus Fernandes made all the actors in Slumdog Millionaire dance to his tunes and he has directed a sequence in Hollywood movie, Eat, Pray, Love. Out of all this, it was our very own Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan bowl him over, with her ‘dream’ like dance moves.

He has choreographed one song in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s, Guzaarish, Udi Udi. When asked about this song, Longinus said, “It is very unusual. We have never seen Aishwarya doing such steps. It is very different from what she has done in the past and she has done a brilliant job with it. She is a wonderful dancer and she dances like a dream. It did not take her much time to learn the dance, but it did take some time to perfect the dance and to get in the mood of the character.”

The song is turning into a rage especially due to Aishwarya’s graceful and impressive moves in her red and black long dress. The dance director said, “Sanjay wanted to make this song unique and different one. I asked him if we can add a little bit of Spanish in it and give it a raw, earthy feel. He loved the idea, so we gave the whole dance a look, which is very rustic, so we tried to make it as natural as we can.”

Longinus has won the Filmfare Award for this famous choreography for the song ‘Pappu can’t dance saala…’in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Bhansali and Longinus met for the first time on the sets of a dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.

When asked Longinus how he got a film with Sanjay he said, “It was not very tough for me to get this break with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He has always been fond of me. He was one of the judges on Jhalak and he told me that time that he will work with me for sure. He kept his promise.”

Guzaarish where Hrithik Roshan plays a paraplegic patient is slated to release on November 19.

Katrina Kaif has never admitted of her relationship with Salman Khan in the past eight years. They have acted together and she was like a permanent fixture at his place, but she always maintained that they were good friends. However, on Tuesday she finally admitted in a daily that she has split with the Dabangg actor.

An industry source revealed, “On Monday, an article in a morninger carried quotes from a very old interview of Kat, in which she had spoken about her closeness with Salman. This did upset the actress, who is trying very hard to maintain a professional relation with her ex.”

The actress made a few calls to her higher-ups in the industry and said that she wanted to clear the air about Salman. The following day she gave an interview where she admitted of her split with Salman and it was flashed on the front page of the tabloid under the title: For the first time.

So, now the question comes: Why did Katrina finally come clean about Salman? An insider says, “That interview made matters embarrassing for her. She is dating Ranbir now, and the Kapoor Khandaan have welcomed her into their fold. How would she explain an interview about Salman being a ‘4 am friend’?”

Her confession about her break-up was a face-saving attempt.

A close source to the actress added, “When Kat read an article about Salman and her closeness, she was very upset. She does not want to send out the wrong signals to Ranbir or his family. She is not with Sallu anymore. Though Salman and Kat broke up long ago, they continue to be friends. She appreciates all that he has done for her, and they will always be there for one another. After the latest being human show he even asked her to party with his friends, but she denied it as she had an early morning flight. Though Kat and Salman are still in touch with one another, but they are no more romantically involved and she does not want to give a wrong impression to anyone.”

Lately, there has been a lot of stress on the sets of Tezzz in London. Last week, the shoots were suddenly called off due to rains. Ajay Devgan knew about this, but Kangana was not informed about this until later and she was very livid. The actress got her manager to fire the production in-charge, and make a fuss of her not being informed sooner.

According to a source, “The following day, Kangs and Ajay were to shoot at Birmingham, but she reported late on the set, to make a point. She made the entire cast and crew wait for her.” However, the spokesperson of the actress denied of any such event. She said, “Kangana is one of the most professional actresses going around and only under extenuating circumstances she would come later. If it was raining and shooting got cancelled why will she have problems and throw tantrums? She was happy to go shopping, like she does after every pack-up.”

The spokesperson added further that she was late, because there was no water in her hotel room. “She was late just one day because there was no water in the hotel. Finally she left for the shoot without having a bath as she did not want the cast and crew to wait for her. Some person on the sets is out to malign her and are planting stories about her.”

According to the producer’s version, “We have been shooting since the last 12 days and lost a couple of hours in the evening due to rain. But Kangana was not needed for those scenes. On the next day, Kangana was late, because she had to be dressed as bride and getting the make-up and saree on took a lot of time. Kangana has been very cooperative on the sets and we are happy to be working with her.”

Recently, Deepika convinced her entire team of Break Ke Baad to hit the road after bad weather prevented them from flying to Delhi. Imran Khan, Deepika, Kunal Kohli and the director Danish Aslam were scheduled for a visit in IIT, Delhi for a promotional event for the film. The team was supposed to meet at the Chandigarh airport and take a flight to Delhi. However, there was an unexpected snow blizzard in Rohtang, which forced them to go for an eight hour long road trip.

When asked Kunal Kohli about this he says, “It was the biggest adventure of our lives. We could not have imagined that a snowstorm in Kashmir would affect the weather in Chandigarh. After out flights were cancelled, Deepika suggested that we should hit the road. She was very interested to make it to Delhi under any circumstance. Since she came to know that the students were looking forward to meeting them, there was no way she was willing to cancel. Imran decided to travel as well from Patiala, where he was shooting.”

He added, “We all were hungry, but Deepika was really worried about getting mobbed. Therefore, we looked for a relatively empty place and she covered her face with dupatta and then got out of the car. We managed to eat chana bhatura, but word got out that she was in the dhaba and people soon started crowding. We managed to get out of there before it got too crowded.”

When Deepika was asked about her first-ever road trip, she said, “While Danish and Kunal were taking care of the logistics and making sure that we got to Delhi on time, I was busy enjoying the adventure. I think stopping at the local dhaba and eating food was really memorable. Among all the traveling I have done, this particular trip will go down as something really special.”

In spite of all the odds being against them and reaching Delhi before their deadline, Deepika and Imran managed to visit a mall and meet all their fans. They met some students from IIT and recorded their voice message for the whole campus.

Actress-turned-businesswomen Shilpa Shetty, who is currently distressed with the termination of her IPL team Rajasthan Royals, says that she wants a balanced and fair hearing over this entire matter.

Recently, Shilpa wrote on microblogging site Twitter, “It has been a very distressing time for us all at RR after all we have put in (passion n time).” When asked her on her views for terminating her team she said, “All we ask for is a fair and balanced hearing on all the issues raised, given the adverse national and international impact on the Brand IPL in the interest of the teams and fans. The most important thing is the transparent process and enquiry…allegation that our ownership has been changed since 2008. That is so untrue.”

She added saying, “The only change that has come in the ownership is the introduction of my husband Raj Kundra, for which we had full BCCI permission and support at that time.”

The governing council of IPL terminated the contracts of Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab for violating their franchise pact. Shilpa and Raj own the team Rajasthan Royals, while Preity Zinta owns the Kings XI Punjab. Shilpa said that she was too shocked to react.

She tweeted meanwhile saying, “This is for all those who want my reaction, ‘Honestly too shocked to react, just disheartened….cause it is more than just a team for us! Still haven’t received the termination, will react after that. Need to know the basis of this decision, in London now.”

The sizzling Sonam Kapoor, made a guest appearance in a T.V show recently. But very few people might know this that Sonam has had a really long time crush on Shaan- the very versatile singer.

For the promotion of her latest film ‘Aisha’, she had come on the sets of Chhote Ustaad. Chhote Ustaad is talent hunts show where in little kids showcase their singing skills.

Coincidently, Shaan was also was called on the show to make an appearance. The actress was at her best when she was on the sets of the talent show. Last Friday was the day when ‘Aisha’ was released and she was looking quite excited about her movie.

Sonam was sitting exactly next to the singer and was seen blushing big time according to people from the sets of the show. She admitted that she used to have a big crush on Shaan and has found herself quite lucky to sit next to him and judge the show.”

Well, it’s not official as yet. But according to sources, model turned Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and young Sidhartha Mallya son of Vijay Mallya are seeing each other and are a couple.

Their many appearances in public together and constant photos suggest many things, don’t they?

Rumors have that it all started in April, when Deepika was seen in Sidhartha’s VIP box. This was during the IPL matches when his team, the Bangalore Royal Challengers was playing. Deepika was like an additional brand ambassador despite the presence of Katrina Kaif, both of whom was cheering their team to good effect.

But apart from professional commitments, there was something personal attention given by the both of them. Sources say that only Deepika was believed to take time to think about the proposal and thinking about her decision to commit. The 24-year-old scintillating actress is still taking her time from her break up with Ranbir Kapoor. She isn’t really very keen to just jump into another relationship and that too that early as reports of their break up was just on the go.

There have been efforts to patch the two earlier, by their friends but nothing worked out. That is why Deepika and Ranbir never got together after that. And after her much needed break of around one month she has given a serious thought to her new found love, according to her close friend. The source also told that Deepika went to London after her busy schedule for the Mauritius grand prix, where they actually kind of got resurfaced everything. There is buzz in the industry that the two are a couple now.
