Actress Amrita Rao takes director Shyam Benegal on a high esteem. She worked with him for Welcome To Sajjanpur and since then she took Benegal as khaas. But it was surprise to know that she turned down a role in Benegal’s next film Abba Ka Kua.

It seems that Amrita don’t want to cast in similar kind of role (a rural girl) all over again. When asked to her, she replied angrily, “I dare not say no to Mr Benegal.”

“Working with him has been the biggest high of my career. It also got me a nomination at one of the awards,” added Amrita.

So the truth is that Amrita has not been offered the role at all. Instead, Minisha Lamba has been signed for the film. Minisha was so excited about the role that she immediately jumped into the offer.
