Lucky (Abhay Deol), a gawky 15-year-old lower middle class Sikh kid, rises to become one of the most wanted master thieves in the country with tens of millions worth of loot, a glamorous lifestyle, cars, women, and a fan following. Lucky is a keen observer of the world around him, from his immediate surroundings with his friends, dropouts, delinquents and petty criminals to the life he aspires for - the nouveau riche - private schooling, shining cars and pretty girls.

He comes into contact with Gogi Bhai - a flamboyant musical bandleader who’s also a fence for stolen goods, who eventually becomes his surrogate father. Lucky rapidly rises to become Gogi’s star operator and his independent nature and insatiable ambition accelerate his path in crime. But will Lucky ultimately achieve his dreams?
