Vishal Bhardwaj and Mira Nair

New York based Indian filmmaker Mira Nair’s film Mansoon Wedding, released in 2000, is much acclaimed in India as well as overseas. Now she is planning to convert that movie into musical play with the U.S famous theatre, Broadway. For which the hot musician and director Vishal Bhardwaj will score the music. In fact Vishal has already started composing for the musical.

Their association began when they worked together on Vishal’s latest hit flick Kaminey. Vishal gives credit of the film to a Kenyan playwright Cajetan Boy, from whose writing the story is inspired. The director met the writer in a film workshop arranged by Mira overseas. Now Vishal wants to take the association further by composing music for her musical.
