Actress Sushmita Sen is set to appear as a warrior in her next film. Well it’s not her much talked Rani Laxmibai.

Although she had given a back seat to directing a biopic on Rani Laxmibai, she gets another interesting role in Kamal Haasan’s Tamil period film Marmayogi.

One source revealed, “Kamal has roped in Sushmita to play a character unlike what she was ever played before. Radiating oodles of negative shades, Sushmita will be a warrior in the period film.”

Later the source added, “Kamal screened Dasavatharam for Sushmita and she liked the film a lot. So when Kamal offered her a role in his next, she readily agreed. Also, since she had already postponed Rani Laxmibai, she had plenty of time for Kamal’s film.”

The film is an action drama set in ancient time. The film is supposed to be a mega budget film. It will include advanced special effects and innovative make-up techniques.

Apart from Sushmita Sen, the film also includes two other female stars. However director Kamal Haasan will play the lead role in the film.

The source said, “Priyanka Chopra was also offered Sushmita’s role, but, date problems kept her from being a part of the film.”
