After showcasing her cricketing skills in Dil Bole Hadippa, Rani Mukherjee is all geared up to judge a dance show for a TV channel. The show will be the biggest dance show ever produced on television which will be aired on every Friday and Saturday on 8 pm. Rani will be the ‘Celebrity Judge’ on the show.

The show is based on a league format, so talking about it Rani says, “After playing Veer and Veera in Dil Bole Hadippa, the show seemed like a natural extension.”

Rani is one of the great dancers in Bollywood, so talking about dance, she says, “Dance is my passion. I have learnt Odissi dance form. The show is all about passion. It showcases the best of regional flavor, culture and pride of contestants for their region.”

Contestants from across the country as well as from overseas can take part in to it. So how she is going to judge it? “Not every great dancer is technically-trained”. “You either have it in you to dance or you don’t, it’s God-gifted. It’s more important to dance with your heart, rather than worry about whether you’re technically right or wrong. As a judge on the show, I’m not going to judge whether the hands are aligned or in position, that’s Shiamak’s job. But I am going to be a good judge,” explains the queen.

The actress is excited to connect with her fans thorough the television. “Television is a great medium. It gives me an opportunity to communicate with millions of people who have supported me and my films. I hope they will continue to support me in this new endeavor in much the same way as they have through the years,” says Rani.
