Salman Khan

Salman Khan has decided not to do more cameos, because he feels that he’s being exploited by some filmmakers. He recently refused to do an appearance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Chenab Gandhi. Salman always did cameos for new filmmakers and his friends in the films industry, but today he decides to stop doing that. So what’s the reason behind it?

A source close to him said, “One of the major reasons for Salman turning down cameo roles is his bitter experience with Shah Rukh Khan. When Shah Rukh needed Salman to make an appearance in Om Shanti Om, he readily agreed, however when Salman wanted Shah Rukh to make an appearance in his brother Sohail Khan’s Main Aur Mrs Khanna, he refused to do it.”

A refusal by Shah Rukh has really hurt Salman a lot. The source also added, “Salman Has realized that filmmakers, who offer him cameos, often cash in on his popularity by publishing the film as a Salman Khan film, thus misleading the audience. Salman does not want his fans to be misled as they go to watch the film hoping to see more of him. Salman is the only actor who has done the maximum number of cameos for new filmmakers to support and encourage them. But he eventually realized that some of them have begun taking advantage of his emotional nature. So he has decided not to make any more special appearances in films. Though Salman is doing a cameo in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani because he had committed to it, we heard that he has refused to do a similar role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Chenab Gandhi.”

However, Salman’s official spokesperson Alok Mathur confirmed it and said, “Yes it is true that Salman has decided not to do cameos in films anymore. But I cannot comment any further than that.”
