Nazia Hussain, who is grand niece of the late Nargis Dutt, is ready to try her luck in Bollywood. And the newbie is so excited that to take the acting lessons she can travel by train from Marine Drive to Andheri.
“Although I stay at Marine Drive, I will travel to Andheri by train,” says the 18-year-old Nazia.
She is granddaughter of Nargis Dutt’s elder brother Akhtar Hussain. Her father Najam is a businessman, while mother Saira is beautician. Nazia is so excited to enter the tinsel town that to pursue acting career she has left her education in between. She is just 12th pass and ready to join Roshan Taneja’s acting institute.
“I will complete my education later. Now I am set to go to the institute in November,” says the aspiring actor.
Adding more to her acting passion, Nazia said, “Acting runs in my blood. Papo (as Nargis was fondly called in the family) was a strong figure in our family. I always wanted to be an actress and I have always been a bold girl.
I have no qualms about donning glamorous outfits on screen though I don’t dress up like that in real life. But during my early teens, I suddenly became a very shy person. That’s when I thought that I probably didn’t want to become an actress. But eventually I did a couple of TV shows (IBibo, I Superstar and Wear Their Skin on a popular music channel and Shakira) and felt that I was back to my old self.”
Well is she ready to take on all that comes up with the actor tag including media attention and link-ups? “We’ll handle that. I have supportive parents and I won’t have a problem,” says the teenage Nazia.
