After film Dostana, its Rohan Sippy’s The President is Coming which is promoting the lesbian thing. The President is Coming is an English film, being directed by debutant director Kunaal Roy Kapur. However, actress Konkana Sen Sharma is playing a homosexual in the film.

A source close to the film unit said, “Konkana’s character, Maya Roy, is a lesbian. She was very charged about playing such a character on screen.”

Director of the film Kunaal has also directed the same script as a play earlier, But, Konkana only watched the play after completing the film. The source later added, “Konkana did not want to be prejudiced and wanted to play the character in her own way. She thought that watching the play before the film’s shooting could affect her spontaneity.”

The role of Konkana was previously hid by the filmmakers. But a source close to the unit revealed, “It was meant to surprise the audience. But the focus of the film is not Konkana’s sexuality, it is a humorous film about six ambitious Indians who will stop at nothing to win a handshake with President Bush. It is a mockumentary!”

However, when asked to Konkana, she said, “It won’t be fair to reveal anything so soon, but after Dostana, do you think only boys should have all the fun?”

The film also casts Ira Dubey and Shernaz Patel.
