Action hero Akshay Kumar has turned 42 today and it’s a once in lifetime occurrence for the actor as it’s 09-09-09 today. So how he feels about it? “I’m ecstatic,” says Akshay.

Akshay consider that number 9 is lucky for him. Is he superstitious about the number? He replied, “I’m superstitious when I’m told to be, the rest of the time, I walk in a daze…. I’m just glad I wasn’t born on 6.6.06; I would have been the devil child or something…. Now I’m just the emergency number in England ‘999′. Is it a good thing? Only my mother knows! If you are in need of help and you live in London just dial ‘me’ and the emergency services will be right with you… ha ha ha! But what I love about 9 is that all wonderful things have happened around that number. Me, my son, my sister and her daughter were all born in the ninth month, my parents’ wedding was in the ninth month, my first house and my last house I bought in the ninth month, all my cars are numbered 9 (and I’ve never had a crash off set yet). It’s a gifted number, but knowing me, I’ll probably get hit by lightning and slashed with a silver streak in my hair and get scarred with a 9 on my forehead on my birthday.”

On his birthday, what he plans on his professional and personal front? “Is to take it easy. I don’t wish to do more than two/three films a year. My desire is to spend more time with my wife Twinkle and son Aarav. Aarav is growing up fast… and I want to be around him whenever I can. It’s great to watch your son grow and do the normal father-son bonding that all dads long for,” says the actor.

Akshay currently is hosting the much talked TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi. Also two of his films Blue and De Dana Dan are ready to release.
