The original dancing queen of Bollywood Madhuri Dixit has been missing from the limelight for quiet some time now. However, the actress is all set to make a comeback on the small screen as the judge of a reality show.

She was last seen in YRF productions Aaja Nachle, which turned out to be a huge box office dud. This Bollywood actress will be assessing other people on their dancing abilities on the fourth season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, which is an Indian adaptation of Dancing with the Stars.

When asked Madhuri about this she says, “Dance has always been my passion and this show is also associated with that and this is the only reason I decided to be a judge on it. It took me a while to say yes. After I went back to LA and saw Dancing with the Stars, I was convinced to take this offer.”

Our very own Dhak Dhak girl will have the company of Remo D’Souza in the panel of judges. The name of the third judge has not been reveled yet, but there are rumors that Saroj Khan may join the panel. “I have no clue who the third judge is and it will be the decision of Sony. But it will be good for me if Sarojji is the third judge. I am keeping my fingers crossed,” says Madhuri.

As a judge for the dance show, she will be concentrating on the participants poise, grace and the attitude, rest of the details will be left for the other judges. Madhuri says, “The participants on this show are well-known in their own fields. They are people who are very ambitious and will put in their best for winning this challenge. I will be looking at how they project themselves and bring their personalities in the performance.”

Earlier there were reports that the two dancing divas of Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will together judge some dance reality show. And also that the channel is in talks with two of them. However the latest update on it says that Aishwarya has lost the place to Madhuri. Thanks to the exorbitant amount she charged to appear on the show. However Madhuri demanded an affordable price and so will represent one of the teams of the show titled Dance Premier League. The show also promises many other Bollywood stars.

One source revealed, “Madhuri and Aishwarya were both being considered to be the judge for one of the teams. Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri as she quoted an exorbitant amount of money. The makers of the show couldn’t afford her and the scales tipped in Madhuri’s favour as she had demanded an affordable price.”

However, Riku Rakesh Nath, Madhuri’s manager said not going much into details, “The discussion is still on.”

Meanwhile, VP Marketing of the channel, Danish Khan confirmed, “Yes, Madhuri has been chosen to represent one of the teams.”

When asked about Ash, he said, “I don’t want to talk abut the money involved but Madhuri is definitely on board for Dance Premier League.”

But talks around the floor say that Madhuri demanded much affordable price, so is Aishwayra lost it out.

Amrita Rao and Madhuri Dixit

Maqbool Fida Hussain, the renowned painter of India has already done number of paintings of Madhuri Dixit and Amrita Rao separately. But this time he wants to paint them together on a one canvas. Moreover he wants to make a film with the two actresses in leads.

Talking about the painting, Hussain said, “I do a lot of combination paintings. I have started working on the Madhuri and Amrita painting. It should be ready in a month’s time.” Further he added that the paining is incomplete unless he makes a film on it.

Earlier he made films like Gaja Gamini (2000) and Meenaxi (2004) starring Madhuri Dixit and Tabbu in lead roles. So whether this time he will go for a commercial film? “No. I don’t want anybody to dictate what I have to make,” said the master.

One source revealed, “Hussain has even asked Madhuri and Amrita to visit him during Diwali this year to discuss the logistics of the film.”

If things work out well then Bollywood’s two dancing divas Madhuri Dixit Nene and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen judging a dance reality show. The TV channel is in talks with the actresses. However this will happen only if their dates match. Madhuri who is coming on or off to India, may accept the offer. If this happens, we will see the actresses together once again after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas.

Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Sridevi and Randhir Kapoor

It was Randhir Kapoor’s 62nd birthday on Sunday and he invited his past leading ladies for his birthday party. Among those were Rekha (with whom he worked in twelve films), Shridevi and Madhuri (who is in India for few days). Randhir threw the party in his Chembur residence which is Raj Kapoor’s bungalow, R K Cottage. The three ladies were the center of attraction of the party.

One source said, “It was great to see Randhir and his guests in good cheer and high spirits. Parties at R K Cottage have always been special and this one was no exception.”

Other that the three ladies, his separated wife Babita and daughters Karishma and Kareena along with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan were also present at the bash. Other from family members was his youngest brother Rajiv Kapoor. Rishi and Neetu Kapoor were not present.

One source from the party said, “Rishi and Neetu are shooting for Arindham Chaudhary’s film in Delhi. Ranbir too was not present at the party because he is in Turkey shooting for Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani.”

Other film personalities and buddies of Randhir, Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan, Ketan Desai and Subhash Ghai were also present for the party.
