The young actors of Bollywood Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are willing to start a production house together and want Imtiaz Ali to make a first film for their production house. One source reveals that both the actors have also asked Imtiaz to give them a good subject. The film will also star both of them together.

A source revealed, “Ranbir and Imran are great friends and they hang out together quite often. Both of them have planned to make films together and are looking for a subject. They want their first film to be made by Imtiaz Ali and have already spoken to him. And Imtiaz is looking for an appropriate subject to make a film with them. Both the actors plan to make films which they believe in and they have made it very clear that it’s not necessary that the films will have them as lead heroes. However, they want to do the Imtiaz Ali film to kick off their production house. They have also approached Shimit Amin to make a film for them.”

However, director Imtiaz is partially agreed with the fact as he said, “I know both of them and have met them on several occasions. We have discussed many things with each other. They have told me that if I have anything good then I should let them know. But they have never said anything about production, nor have they asked me to direct a film for them. I can’t conjecture about whether I would work with them when I haven’t even been asked.”

Actor Salman Khan spent a quality time with girlfriend Katrina Kaif on the sets of film Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani. The film is starring Katrina and Ranbir Kapoor in lead.

On Monday, Salman went on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki…. to shot for a special role in the film. And even after completing his shooting Salman was hanging around on the sets of the film at Film City, Goregaon so that to spend much quality time with Katie.

One source from the sets of film said, “Salman and Katrina looked comfortable and quite happy in each other’s company. They even had a few snacks together. Salman has an important role in Ajab Prem… and he is enjoying it.”

When asked to Katrina about the film, she said, “It would be better if you speak to director Raj Kumar Santoshi about this. I am very busy right now.”

Isn’t it a great example of mixing business with pleasure?

A film from Saif Ali Khan’s production house, which is being directed by Imtiaz Ali has finally got a title called Love Aaj Kal. Imtiaz and Saif decided a name after a long brainstorming session. Saif and Deepika are doing a lead role in the film.

A source revealed, “Imtiaz and Saif couldn’t arrive at a decision as far as naming the film was concerned. So they decided to go ahead with their shooting and brainstorm about the film’s name later. Eventually they both were so hassled that Saif thought of holding a contest inviting the audience to suggest a suitable name for the film.”

But after completing the films shooting, actually Saif and Imtiaz sat together for a brainstorming session.

“The duo came up with different names. After a lot of deliberation and thought, Imtiaz decided to call the film, Aaj Aur Kal, but was still apprehensive about it. Imtiaz wanted to change the title from Aaj Aur Kal to Aaj Kal. But Saif disagreed with him saying that he wanted a title that would instantly connect with the audience,” added the source.

A source close to the director said, “Yes Imtiaz had decided to call the film Love Aaj Kal.”

After an international fame and Golden Globe Awards, actress Freida Pinto has called off her engagement. No doubt after the success of Slumdog…., Freida has a bright future, but right now it seems like only work and profession is playing the main role in her life.

The success has changed many things for Freida including her relationship status. If we believe in the source, Freida has recently broken up with her Bangalore-based fiance.

The source said, “Success is what prompted the actress to cut off all past ties that could pose as a barrier between her and the dizzying heights of fame post Slumdog Millionaire. She now knows that bigger things are in store for her. She was engaged to someone from Bangalore and all was well until Slumdog Millionaire released and everyone applauded the film. It went on to win four Golden Globe awards. Evidently, Freida didn’t want to get caught up in the regular routine life just when her career was taking off. So, she decided to call off the engagement and instead concentrate on her career.”

When asked to the actress about her personal life, she said, “At the moment, it is my profession that dominates my life. Now on, my life is only going to be about work for a long time to come.”

About her engagement, she said, “I am just enjoying my professional life at the moment. Are you interviewing me for Slumdog Millionaire or are you trying to pry into my personal life? I am not interested in sharing my personal life with you. Do you have any proof (about the engagement)? No one has the right to spoil my happiness. It is my personal life and I don’t want to talk about it.”

Even if Freida trying to hide the fact, the source insists that she was engaged.

Sammir Dattani, a cute guy who is quite famous in Kannada film industry is also grounding is foot in Bollywood. Sammir who started his journey in Bollywood four years back is finding his foot firm in the industry today. He recently impressed the filmmakers and audience with his latest film Mukhbiir. However year 2009 holds many films for him in Bollywood.

Sammir is next coming up with a film in which he is playing a role of a footballer, who later knows that his leg is affected with cancer. But with full determination and courage he manages to run for a Marathon. However the actor himself also have taken much effort for the film from reading cyclist Lance Armstrong’s inspiring autobiography to learning crunches to use and wheelchair to get into the character of Sanjeev.

“I would practice walking on crutches at home. That freaked my mum out because she just couldn’t bear to see me like that,” says the actor.

He later added, “Mani Shankar sir was initially apprehensive about casting me and convincing him was a quite a task. But, when I turned up at his office dressed like a ruffian, he was totally convinced.”

Apart from this film, Sammir will also appear in couple of films including Nisha Chainani’s untitled and Love Ka Tadka. He didn’t get the same success in Bollywood that he achieved in South.

“That one right opportunity and that one correct film that penetrates all boundaries and doesn’t limit itself to a certain circle of people. And, this year I am ready for it,” says the hopeful Sammir.

During the time the actor also has gone through a down time, but his work from South always kept him going on.

“Well, there have been moments when I’ve felt extremely frustrated and there were times when I seriously doubted myself, but then my success in South films always gave me a reassurance that something I am doing is right. In this industry luck often supersedes talent. But, I feel destined to be an actor. So, I guess it’s only matter of time for me to get right up there,” he added.

Talking on a personal front, Sammir says, “I’ve had my share of girlfriends, but am yet to have that special girl in my life. I am waiting for both - her and lady luck. Let’s see what 2009 has in store.”

The action director of the much acclaimed film Slumdog Millionaire, Sham Kaushal is one more time set to do another film with director Danny Boyle.

Although he didn’t get any award for his work in the film, but Sham definitely get another film in her kitty with the director of the film. For the film Sham directed the train sequence where the small children hanging from the train.

“Whenever the crew or Danny see the train sequence in the film, they call or SMS me. It was probably one of the most difficult scenes that I had ever done. When I met Danny for the first time at a suburban five star hotel, he explained the scene to me. I didn’t even know if I was doing the film that time, but I was amazed when I got to know that Danny had seen my films, Parzania and Black Friday,” said Sham.

Talking about the action scene in the film, Sham said, “It was very difficult and I asked him for a day’s time to try and find a way to do the scene. When I met him the second time I had taken a toy train along and showed him how I planned to do the scene. He loved the idea and before the scene was shot, we did a rehearsal of the scene on a bus.”

He later adds, “After the film was shot, Danny had promised me that wherever he goes after Slumdog…, be it Hollywood or a film in India, I would be the action director of the film. After the Golden Globe award ceremony, the writer of the film emailed me and Danny called me and informed me that he is planning the next film and I am going to be a part of it. He is yet to decide on the subject of the film.”

The fashion designer of the film Ashley Rebello, who has styled Salman’s for the film said, “Salman will be seen wearing neck-pieces made from beads, sea shells and everything that is hippie and Goan in the film. It has been mostly shot in Bangkok, and Salman will be seen wearing folded knee length pants and white shirts in the film. He will also wear a lot of checked shirts and leather jackets which give that hippie look.”

We have recently seen the beach style of John Abraham in Dostana. So whether Salman will sport the same kind of clothing for his film? For sure not because Salman is so disapproving to such exposure and to John too.

“We’re soulmates because we’re both in this surreal situation. She is very beautiful. I haven’t got a girlfriend but Frieda, my co-star is gorgeous,” Dev quoted to Contactmusic. However he denied the speculation as both the actors sparked off-screen. He said, “There’s no romance. I’ve never had a girlfriend. I’ve always been focused on acting. But for now I’m having the time off my life.”

“I love working with younger heroes, but am also scared of them. They are all so fit. If I have to work with them, then I have to match up to them. And, that means I ought to be fit and fine, for there’s no time to sit and rest,” adds Akshay.
